Features:
This shrub is lacy and soft on the outside, with its soft grey-green leaves and graceful mounding habit, but it has an iron constitution. It is evergreen in all but the most severe winters. You can count on this plant as a mainstay in your garden. Though you can prune up St. John's Wort and it will be fine with it, most people prefer the 'wild' native look it brings to your garden. Pair it with other plants that will show off its graceful, natural form and fit into a naturalized planting. Baby blue eyes, 'Little Joe' Joe-Pye weed or Paprika Yarrow, for instance, are good companions and their colors will look great with that Sunny Boulevard yellow.
